All you need to do is log in to our site and then subscribe to the forums. Going forward, you'll receive email alerts when new topics/questions and answers are posted. And any questions you may post will be delivered to your colleagues. 

Alyssa Taft created a how-to video to show you how easy it is. You can sign up to receive emails any time an SLRI member posts to one of the following forums:

  • Advocacy: Ideas for promoting ourselves and the profession; info on issues and legislation
  • Book Lists: Titles that fit specific genres, themes, or other criteria 
  • General topics: Discussion about SLRI in general, including events
  • Job postings: Opportunities if you're looking for a change
  • Lessons and Activities: Suggestions, advice, and resources to use in your library classroom
  • Supplies and Vendors: Discussion re: equipment and other potential purchases

Email Meredith Moore at if you run into any issues. Make sure to use the email address associated with your SLRI membership. If it's the first time you're logging on to the site, just hit "Forgot password," and you'll get an email to set one.
